As a teacher for nearly two decades, I’ve been fortunate enough to help students of all ages improve on their instruments. Having performed on all the instruments I teach (trombone, bass trombone, baritone/euphonium, and tuba), I have more than a theoretical knowledge of how each instrument works. My experience as a teacher and performer helps me guide my students with simple, real world solutions to everyday issues.
University of Dayton
At the University of Dayton, I have the privilege of leading a studio of enthusiastic college-age students. In addition to music majors seeking degrees in Music Education, Music Performance, Music Therapy, or a Bachelor of Arts, non-majors are always welcome to take lessons and perform in ensembles (wind ensembles, jazz bands, orchestra, and trombone ensemble). UD offers an education that goes beyond simply earning a degree. We train students who want to have an impact, not just in their profession, but in their communities, and around the world. Please visit our website for more information about applying to UD.
Younger Students
I teach students from beginning levels all the way through college age, including special needs students. All students can benefit from the one-on-one customized interactions that private lessons offer. With input from students, their parents, band directors, and my own experience, a custom-tailored approach gives each student the best chance for success. Current and former students have received frequent Superior ratings at OMEA solo & ensemble contest and have been selected to local, regional, and All-State ensembles (band, orchestra, and jazz). Some of my former students now attend music schools on scholarships, while others work in the music education field.
I’m always looking to add to my studio. Please Contact Me for available openings.
I’m always ready and willing to help each and every student maximize their success.
